Mum’s the word on Natalie Bassingthwaighte
At the time of going to press Natalie Bassingthwaighte, spotted out with partner Cameron McGlinchey yesterday, was yet to give birth but it appears anything is possible for the heavily pregnant star who is due this month.
Dressed in a comfy dress and sandals, Bassingthwaighte, who announced her pregnancy back in February, is clearly in full bloom while awaiting the arrival of her first child. It’s understood she and McGlinchey are finishing up some home renovations in anticipation of the newcomer, although wedding plans are on the backburner.
“She has approximately three weeks to go so is taking it very easy – but is the happiest I have seen and heard her,” long-time manager Mark Byrne told Confidential.
As for life after baby, Bassingthwaighte – who has lost her hosting gig on Ten’s So You Think You Can Dance following the show’s axing – will be taking a break until next year.
“We’re looking at some television drama and local film projects here for next year … and of course we will be talking to Sony once the new addition arrives about [the singer's] next music project, but this is definitely her priority at the moment.”
